‘MY SON MATTERS' Jacob Blake’s tearful dad walks out of press conference and says he has ‘no confidence in white investigators’

"They shot my son seven times. Seven times. Like he didn't matter. But my son matters. He's a human being, and he matters," Blake's father said as he was reduced to tears.

Later on in the press conference, when Attorney Patrick Salvi provided an extensive list of his son's injuries, Blake Sr began crying and walked away from the group.

When he returned, he passionately told reporters: "I don't have confidence in anybody that is white, that is doing an investigation about a black young man that was shot seven times in his back and haven't come up with an answer or a comment-At this point, it's not welcome."

Attorney Ben Crump also told reporters that Jacob's Blake Jr's children, who were just feet away when their dad was shot, will be going seeing psychologists.

His dad added: "That picture plays over and over in front of their little faces. All my grandson asks repeatedly is 'why did the police shoot my daddy in the back?'

"How would you feel if your white son walked up to you as a mother and said 'mommy why did the police shoot my daddy in the back?'"

During the event, Jacob Blake Jr's mom, Julia Jackson, also took to the podium and told journalists that her son would not have wanted people to retaliate violently to the incident.

"As I was riding through here through the city I noticed a lot of damage - it doesn't reflect my son or my family," she said.

"If Jacob knew what was going on as far as that goes - the violence and the destruction - he would be very unpleased, so I'm really asking and encouraging everyone in Wisconsin and abroad to take a moment and examine your hearts.

"Citizens, police officers, firemen, clergy, politicians, do Jacob justice on this level and examine your hearts."

On Sunday evening, shocking footage emerged showing Blake, 29, being gunned down by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He was supposed to be celebrating his son's eighth birthday, reported the Chicago Sun Times.

Instead, the father-of-six was shot at least seven times in the back in front of his three sons, who were sitting in an SUV as he tried to enter the vehicle.
